Kids Shoes Which Are Tough Enough

When it comes to buying school shoes for your children, you have to be sure that they are tough enough to withstand the daily knocks and scuffs they will receive. This is especially the case when it comes to shoes for boys, because we all know boys get up to with little regard for their shoes.

I can still remember the look of horror on my mums face when I came home after just one day in my new shoes. I was about eight years old at the time, and had been riding my friend's bike which didn’t have brakes fitted. This was no problem, because I simply used the toes of my shoes to slow down, resulting in the once pristine pair of leather uppers having scuffs all over them.

Of course, you would need a pair of shoes for boys made out of Kevlar to withstand this type of punishment, but this is just one example of what kids get up to when they are out playing. Speaking of punishment, the next time my mum bought school shoes for me, the memory of the outcome of the scuffing incident ensured I didn’t use them as a pair of brakes on my friend’s bike.

If you are looking for girls shoes or shoes for boys, have a look at what is on offer at the Kidsshoes2u website. There is a great range of all kinds of footwear, so whatever you are looking for you are sure to find it.

Looking For Kids Shoes For The Holidays

It’s coming up to holiday time, so if you are looking to buy kids shoes for the beach you are just a couple of clicks of your mouse away from finding the ideal toddler boys shoes and toddler girls sandals.

Whatever type of kids shoes you are looking for, you will find a great selection on the Kidsshoes2u website, so you are not just restricted to buying toddler boys shoes for the holidays.

Kids shoes have come a long way from the time when they were nothing more than functional footwear. If you are of a certain age you will know what is meant by this, because you probably had to wear heavy, and often uncomfortable, shoes.

Then in the mid sixties, one company came up with the idea of having animal paw prints on the soles of the shoes. It sounds so simple now - and probably a bit naff to the kids of today - but the thought of being able to walk in mud and leave a selection of fox and wolf paw prints behind drove us wild with excitement. The downside to this of course is that we spent most of our time searching for muddy patches to walk in, which didn’t impress our mums.

Toddler boys shoes and toddler girls sandals come in a great range of fun and bright designs, which are sure to impress your kids when they wear them, although we can’t promise that there will be animal paw prints on the soles.

Back to school open season is here again and its time to drag the kids round the shops for the new school uniforms and the all important shoes.

The uniform is standard and comes straight off the peg, but what about the shoes?

Times are a bit hard at the moment so need to think about what to go for? School shoes need to be comfortable for the long days and good enough to last, so its not to cheap (Under £20) as they probably won’t last and not to expensive (Over £40) but still good enough.

Have the kids had their feet measured recently?

If not, its off to get them measured. Do you join the long queues in the popular shops or go for a measure and see what’s available on the internet?

Also, do you go for the usual same old brands or try something new?

Decisions, decisions…..

Then there's the girls shoes, made with all the same quality and with the fashionable style.

But best of all is the soft leather uppers and inner lining with padded heel protection.

So why not treat your daughters feet.

School Shoes Shopping

Just started the holidays but it won't be long before its time to start looking for the new school years uniform and shoes.

Shopping for school shoes is one of those activities that both parents and children dread. The kids would much rather be shopping for trainers or something with a much greater fun factor than boring old school shoes, and grumpy kids means stressed parents.

Shopping for any shoes over the internet is quick and easy, and you can do it from your own home whenever is convenient for you. If the size isn’t right, you’re welcome to return any pair of Kids Shoes 2 U shoes that don’t fit for a refund or an exchange. Subject to the usual terms and conditions, the return process is quick, simple, and low stress.

Your choice of school shoes will depend in part on the school your child goes to. Public schools with a fairly strict dress code will want black leather shoes that take a polish well, while more relaxed local primary schools don’t mind so much what pupils wear on their feet. In the latter case, you might be able to get away with a single pair of shoes that will work well in the classroom, on the playground at lunchtime, and for active Physical Education classes. School students usually need a second pair of shoes for PE and sports.

Formal school shoes can be bought with a little room to grow, but keep in mind that if your kids will be running around in a pair of shoes, they will need to fit reasonably well from the start.

Froddo Quality Leather Boys School Shoes
Boys school shoes usually will need to stand up to playing football in and if they are too big, can lead to tripping and increased likelihood of injuries like twisted ankles, for example. Extremely well made and quality leather, the Froddo boys shoes are perfect for school and also smart dress occassions.

Froddo Quality Leather Girls School Shoes

Girls school shoes need to be comfortable for the long days and in with the current fashion styles, even if the school has rigid rules on footwear. The Froddo girls shoes are of the best quality in design, materials and fashion style, yet tick all the boxes when it comes to comfort and fit.

Buying Baby And Toddler Shoes

In one way buying baby shoes is easier than buying grown up or bigger kids shoes, because little ones won’t spend nearly as much time on their feet as they will when they get a bit older. And of course, their feet don’t have to withstand the pressure of a full adult weight on top of them all day every day. Every time an average man takes a step, there is about 90kg of pressure pushing down on the relatively small area of a single foot, so as a person grows bigger, their shoe needs change.

Baby shoes don’t need the intrinsic stiffness that normal shoes do. They don’t have so much weight to support, if any at all, so softness and comfort can be the first concerns. The only difficulty lies in the fact that babies can’t tell you if a shoe is comfortable or not, so you have to fit them generously and be careful not to do them up too tight. A nice padded pair of baby socks can also help make sure tiny feet are comfy in their first shoes too.

Because the requirements are so loose, baby shoes are great fun to buy. In most cases you can choose from our range of high quality designs by simply browsing through and picking out the style and colour you like the most. We stock a broad variety of summer and winter baby and toddler shoes, sandals, and booties so there should be something for everyone. Do remember, however, that babies grow fast, and that includes their feet!

The Latest Trends In Girls And Boys Shoes

Although comfort and practicality is always at the forefront of parents mind’s when shopping for children’s shoes, style is also an important factor. What better way to finish off children’s outfits, that parents often spend a lot of time planning, than with a trendy pair of kids’ shoes?

Ballets flats have been popular with adults for some time now, and that trend has inevitably filtered down to girls’ shoes. For and extra fashionable young girl, look out for flats with criss-cross straps and stud details. When choosing this style for your child, make sure that there is some strapping and a sturdy sole to support the foot.

Another style of girls’ shoes that is as popular today as it has ever been is the classic Mary Jane. Kids love the cute strap details and ‘grown up’ styling, and parents like that they are durable yet comfy, and are suitable to be worn for school.

When shopping for boys’ shoes, look out for formal styles with one or two Velcro strap fastening, rather than traditional lace ups. Black leather is also the material of choice, allowing your child’s feet to breathe, while still looking classically stylish. The ever-popular trainer is the choice for casual boys’, particularly skate or basketball style shoes.

This is merely a cross section of the hundreds of different styles of children’s shoes that are available. There no longer has to be a compromise between style and practicality – kids can have both!

Kids Love Exercise With Lazy Town Show

Lazy Town came to Paultons Park in Hampshire on a sunny Fathers day afternoon and the kids were ready to have a good time. Some boys in Sportacus outfits and girls in Stephanie pink wigs.

Families with picnics sat on the grass in front of the little theatre staking out a prime position to watch the Lazy Town show and the Kids Shoes 2 U family were there too.

With Lazy Town signature tunes playing, the shutter door opens and Stephanie appears to the delight of the waiting children now crowding around the little fence in front of the stage. Some parents sat nearby beat a retreat from sitting near by as the kids begin to join in the exercise routine as Stephanie was now getting the kids warmed up, if they were not hot enough already.

The sound of an airship overhead, Stephanie asks the kids if they recognise the sound, of course they do and in a flash Sportacus enters cart wheeling across the stage to the delight of the children and a number of the mum’s, I noticed!

Soon Stephanie and Sportacus had all the kids and some reluctant parents exercising and doing dance routines to the music. First teaching the routine in slow time and then bursting into full flow. The kids were having a great time and enjoying every minute of it. Who says kids just spend all day sitting in front of PC’s or games machines turning into couch potatoes.

Sportacus asks the kids if they know what sports candy is and lots of hands zip into the air, broccoli, apples, bananas, carrots and more were announced as Sportacus pointed to each selected child. Blimey, so they really do know what’s good for them too.

Now its competition time and the kids are split into 2 halves, each team has an exercise to copy and performance is rewarded with points. Ballet, skiing, basketball and super hero running all included. Needless to say both teams end up with 90 points and everyone is a winner to the delight of the 2 kid’s teams.

The half hour show is now drawing to a close (was it really half an hour?), Sportacus and Stephanie do a dance routine with some acrobatics and sing to the signature tune and the show comes to an end.

With all the doom and gloom around today the show brought in some fun on a lovely sunny day. It also showed that there are great ways to get kids to exercise, eat healthily and make friends. And before the last song Sportacus was talking to the children and showed them how to be a Super hero and told them ‘no matter what you try, Never Give Up’, something even the parents could go home with.

Also, with so many kids around, time was taken for a little market research and check what the kids were wearing on their feet. Clogs, sandals and trainers seemed to be the order of the day. Noted, and now how do we get all these parents to visit Kids Shoes 2 U and see the great range of boys shoes and girls shoes we have available.
